Terms and Conditions – Ryan's Japanese Koi

Effective Date: 1st January 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to all sales of koi, pond supplies, services, and related products.

1. Definitions

“Company” refers to Ryan's Japanese Koi.
“Customer” refers to any individual or business purchasing goods or services.
“Goods” refers to koi, pond equipment, food, and related products.

2. Orders and Payment

All orders are subject to availability and confirmation.

Full payment is required prior to delivery or collection unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Prices are subject to change without notice.

3. Delivery & Collection

Customers must be present at the agreed delivery time to receive livestock. No one under the age of 16 can take delivery of livestock.

If no one is present at delivery, the Company reserves the right to remove the fish and charge additional delivery fees.

Risk and responsibility for the fish pass to the Customer immediately upon delivery or collection.

It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure their pond is properly prepared prior to delivery.

4. Livestock Health Guarantee

All koi are health-checked prior to sale.

Any concerns must be reported within 48 hours of delivery or collection, supported by clear photographic or video evidence.

The guarantee does not cover losses caused by poor water quality, inadequate filtration, predator attack, overstocking, improper acclimatisation, or negligence.

5. Pond Suitability

Customers are responsible for ensuring their pond meets appropriate standards for koi care, including filtration, aeration, and water quality.

The Company reserves the right to refuse a sale if the pond environment is deemed unsuitable.

6. Refunds & Returns

Please refer to the Refunds & Returns Policy.

7. Age Restrictions

Persons under the age of 16 are not permitted to purchase fish or livestock.

The Company reserves the right to request proof of age.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

Liability is strictly limited to the purchase price of the goods supplied.

9. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including transport disruption, extreme weather, or supplier delays.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
